We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Management Team Manager to manage a team of engineering program managers for the Commerce theme under Adobe Unified Platform. The successful candidate will drive operational rigor to ensure we meet timelines and achieve business success. This role requires aligning program needs with business outcomes in a collaborative environment. You will be a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, owning the execution of critical Adobe outcomes with value-based prioritization, clear expectations, and efficiency. You will oversee the portfolio's health, propose resource trade-offs, and confidently present insights to executives. We value curiosity, a passion for learning, and a growth mindset. What You'll Do:
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of technical program managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all projects and initiatives are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and business outcomes.
- Process Development: Establish and continuously improve processes, ensuring they are effective, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with highly-matrixed cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all projects.
- Portfolio Planning: Lead rolling and annual planning for your portfolio. Align Product, Engineering, Design with expectations and milestones in order to meet projected releases.
Who You Are:
- Leader: Natural leader and facilitator, driven, organized, and meticulous. Adept at facilitating actions, resolving conflicts, and communicating at all levels. Highly resourceful, customer-focused, and able to work independently under time constraints.
- Program Manager at Heart: Self-starter with extensive program management experience on large scale initiatives; knowledgeable of cloud-based software development, preferably in ecommerce, software licensing, payments and/or identity/administration.
- Technical Acumen: Maintain a deep, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution being built, its upstream and downstream dependencies and impacts, and proliferate the awareness and critical changes needed to support the initiative. Understand technical challenges, navigate through options that deliver the best customer experience.
- Team Focused: Enjoys collaborating, learning, and empowering others, cultivating a positive work environment.
- Synthesizer: Distills problems to their essence, crystallizing team wisdom and making next steps clear.
- Elegant: Pays attention to detail, ensuring well-designed and coherent efforts. Rolls up sleeve and engages in process/technical discussions.
- Persistent: Creative in solving problems and overcoming roadblocks.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience in a leadership role within a PMO or similar environment with sound understanding of project management methodologies and industry-standard processes.
- Ability to drive process improvements and champion a culture of operational excellence.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to advocate a course of action.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-starter attitude with a bias to action.
- Experienced with applications such as Jira, or other workload (Backlog) management tools and project management tools required.
- Experience in leading large-scale programs across organizations in a matrixed, globally diverse workforce
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $150,200 -- $280,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
