Description & Requirements

As a Senior Staff Accountant in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group, you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with our outsourcing clients. This position will offer you an excellent opportunity for career advancement in our growing firm. How you will contribute:

  • Acts as the primary contact for clients accounting issues.
  • Collaborates with a team to deliver comprehensive accounting services to clients.
  • Manages accounting operations for clients, acting as their accounting department.
  • Reconciles client accounts/bank accounts and depreciation schedule preparation.
  • Leverages technology to ensure real-time accounting transaction accuracy.
  • Performs month-end balancing, journal entries, and general ledger account analysis, serving as the outsourced controller during the month-end process.
  • Prepares necessary reports and documents, including sales tax reports, payroll tax reports, year-end tax forms, and financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Recommends process improvements.
  • Offers backup support to other outsourced accounting specialists and their clients as needed.
  • Ensures projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Adheres to project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associates Degree or higher in Accounting preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and principals.
  • Ability to think innovatively to incorporate technology solutions and streamlined processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), QuickBooks, and using various software packages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 1 year or more of experience in public accounting preferred.
