Responsibilities
The Contractor shall perform incident and request resolution and escalation of tickets submitted to the Virtual Desktop and Applications Service Line, provide technical writing support, and monitoring support.
- The Contractor shall provide weekly status reports showing progress in these areas.
- Virtual Desktop and Application solutions include Citrix Applications and Desktops and emerging technologies such as Windows Virtual Desktop (Azure), Amazon Workspaces, and Amazon AppStream.
- The Contractor will triage, troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate requests or issues with access to Virtual Desktop and Applications from both on site and remote VA users.
- The contractor shall use VA standard processes in handling and documenting of tickets and shall meet the standard service level agreement for responding to and resolving tickets in a timely manner while minimizing the number of tickets being reopened for the same issue. If an issue cannot be solved after following standard troubleshooting procedures, the ticket will be escalated to the appropriate IT group for further resolution.
- The contractor leads will be the liaison between the VA RESOURCE LEAD and contract team on regular team activities and meet on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience as a Citrix Admin or similar role, troubleshooting and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront and Citrix Director.
- Experience in troubleshooting various Citrix and Azure issues including Secure Certificate, PIV Card troubleshooting, MAC and Windows OS troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in customer service and working with users using remote technologies such as Teams and Webex.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications in Citrix and Azure technologies are a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering or other Engineering or technical discipline
- Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation
Location:
- Remote, USA
- Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST)
Pay Range:
- The pay for this position ranges from $43,730 to $51,500
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
