The Communications Facilitator will focus on supporting community science activities through communication, including the creation of infographics, websites, videos, social media, and educational program materials for the public. Your role will be to support translation of project activities among university personnel and the public in eastern North Carolina, particularly in our partnering communities Princeville, Greenville, Nags Head, and Hyde County. - Maintain current program information on project websites and aid in the interpretation and communication of science findings to interested parties.
- Coordinate with faculty and students to translate major research activities or findings back to the relevant communities.
- Undergo all appropriate training to work with youth and follow best practices for youth safety.

The position is open to ECU students older than 18 years old who want to make a difference in communities throughout eastern NC. No specialized background is needed (on the job training will be provided) and students of any major are welcome, though some experience with social media, science communication, graphic design, environmental justice, community organizing, or environmental issues is helpful.
