HJF is seeking an IT Analyst I - Identity & Access Management to maintain the security and integrity of the organization's digital assets by ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to critical systems and resources. This role will support the organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and systems to facilitate User Life-Cycle Management, Identity and Access Governance, Automated Provisioning and Privileged Account Management (PAM).

This position will be in support of the Identity and Access Management program under Global Information Security (GIS).

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


Responsibilities

  • Assess, configure, and operate an identity management infrastructure and apply access management and authentication solutions. Manage and support a continuous monitoring solution to verify user identities, validate appropriate user privileges, and appropriately grant resource access rights to users. Process onboarding and termination of user accounts and provisioned access.
  • Monitor records kept by computer and network access control systems to detect attempts at unauthorized use. Respond to all identity and access incidents and problems. Ensure timely response and communicate/escalate security issues as necessary.
  • Support the audit of organization accounts to ensure best security practices. Ensure compliance with all HJF and/or customer Information Security policies, regulatory guidance, etc.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Vocational or technical training or degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Information Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Environment on Premises and Cloud, Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Familiarity with industry standard IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • Understanding of process of integrating the identity lifecycle and automation into industry standard IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • General knowledge of implementing complementary controls for access management.
  • Understanding of the formulation and maintaining of documentation including procedural documents.
  • Ability to efficiently manage various programs with different requirements.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Effective time and project management skills.

Licenses and Certifications

  • May require a certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS), Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP) or similar certification.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $57,650 - $75,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
