Essential Job Duties	The Department Head serves as the department's academic leader and administrative officer, responsible for providing intellectual and organizational leadership and managing academic, research, and program activities. Key Responsibilities Build a dynamic department with a strong reputation for excellence in teaching, student success, and impactful research. Foster an environment that supports a shared vision, encourages a productive and innovative faculty and staff, and promotes collaboration. Create an intellectually stimulating atmosphere that welcomes faculty, staff, and students with a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds. Guide faculty and staff in enhancing undergraduate and graduate programs and outreach activities to meet the evolving needs of students and stakeholders. Oversee the department's academic affairs, personnel, finances, and physical facilities. Effectively deploy resources to achieve the goals of the department and the College. Additionally, the Head will represent and advocate for the Department within the Poole College of Management and the University, engage with alumni and other stakeholders, and help attract external support for educational programs, research initiatives, and centers. This is a 12-month position, reporting directly to the Dean of the Poole College of Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Qualified candidates will possess the required doctor's degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience and the credentials to be appointed at the rank of Professor with tenure in the department.
Other Required Qualifications	Exemplary record of scholarly research in Information Technology, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Operations. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Strong record of professional achievement and academic scholarship. Effective communication, collaboration, and team-building skills. Ability to mentor faculty and staff across career stages. Experience managing budgets and balancing departmental priorities.
Preferred Qualifications	Proven ability in administrative leadership and managing a multi-function department. Understanding of the mission, opportunities, and challenges of land-grant universities and public research institutions. Experience in personnel management and participatory decision-making.
