Job Overview

As a Service Planner at Komatsu you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of parts for service activities. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate service schedules, ensuring that customer requirements are met while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.

Key Job Responsibilities


  • Safety: Cultivate a collaborative Zero Harm culture that maintains an injury-free workplace that is healthy and environmentally conscious.





  • Complete safety audits to ensure equipment and tooling is operating in a safe manner





  • Be a visible leader of safety - always demonstrating the principles and safety culture of the organization in all actions





  • Participate in utilizing Velocity app for tracking safety requirements. Commitment to following the Cardinal Rules.





  • Customer: Provide a One Komatsu experience for our customers to find solutions to part needs and solve problems. Optimize the freight to reduce expenses and provide the best option for assigned deadline.





  • Complete day-to-day Customer Service requirements Internal/External including processing sales orders and providing customer quotes with updated pricing and lead times. Track and manage daily back order (MDR) logs. Utilize appropriate resources to expedite part deliveries or internal processes to meet work order requirements.





  • Support the On Call process for urgent after-hours Internal/External customer requirements.





  • Provide value amongst the team utilizing cross training supporting roles





  • Warehouse: Parts staging/returns to include cores, and the pick/pack/ship process to meet job requirements for work in process.





  • Work closely with WIP warehouse technicians to support operational needs.



  • Technical: Drive Operational Excellence and work in conjunction with service/support team. Participate in the North American initiatives to standardize, document and drive improvements at all locations. Working knowledge of our CDK enterprise system, planning systems at the Distribution Centers.



Qualifications/Requirements


  • AA Business or related, Bachelor's degree engineering or business preferred.





  • 5+ experience with customer service, parts and warehouse





  • Excellent communication skills





  • Ability to gain knowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructure.





  • Skilled in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files.





  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.





  • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.





  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.





  • Software: SAP, CDK, MS Office, Gantt Charts, Komatsu Konnect





  • Machine component layout
