Position Summary
Our growing Dermatology Department at the University of north Carolina-Chapel Hill is seeking candidates for a faculty position in Mohs surgery and dermatologic surgery. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in cutaneous oncology and comfort with management of complex tumors, ideally including melanoma and other skin cancers using immunostaining techniques with Mohs surgery. Applicants must have strong clinical skills and a commitment to academic dermatology with interest and skill in teaching and participating in the training of clinical fellows, medical students and residents. Strong interpersonal skills are a must for this appointment. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join a high-quality program with a national reputation for teaching, research, and state-of-the-art patient care. The position allows for interaction with dynamic clinicians and an outstanding array of cutting-edge researchers at UNC. This position will require working at the UNC Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center at Southern Village in Chapel Hill and the UNC Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center at Rex in Raleigh, NC.

This position is being recruited as an open rank appointment at an FTE between 0.5 FTE and 1.0 FTE. The appointment will be offered as a fixed-term track, variable track or tenure-track appointment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD (or foreign degree equivalent), be board certified or board eligible in Dermatology, and have completed a Fellowship associated with the American College of Mohs Surgery. Candidates should have experience in dermatologic Surgery, including Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Candidates should have excellence in cutaneous oncology, complex reconstructive surgery, and ethical practice. Training and experience in cosmetic Dermatology are also favored.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
The position requires teaching residents and fellows.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
