Position Summary
The primary focus of this position is effective undergraduate teaching in the area of professional development within the UA Business LEAD Program. Teaching will consist of 24 credit hours per academic year split roughly evenly between fall and spring semesters. If necessary and appropriate the number of credit hours could be larger in the fall than in the spring to achieve unit objectives. Teaching will be from an existing and evolving curriculum, with this position having the opportunity for curricular input over time. There are three 1-credit hour courses in the LEAD Professional Development Program sequence (GBA 146 for Freshmen; GBA 246 for Sophomores; GBA 346 for Juniors). This position will focus primarily on the Freshmen GBA 146 class. As necessary and appropriate, opportunities may also exist to teach GBA 246 and 346. The successful candidate can expect to be engaged in instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom. Examples of these additional activities include assisting in curriculum development, adjunct instructor training, assisting our LEAD Professional Coaches, supporting student mentoring, and supporting the activities of the LEAD Program.

Detailed Position Information
The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama seeks highly qualified applicants to teach in and support its required undergraduate UA Business LEAD Professional Development Program. The successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, have a passion for students and professional development. The successful candidate will also be an exceptional team member with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. The position is non-tenure earning for a three-year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding, availability, and performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Teaching 24 sections in the LEAD Professional Development sequence with a primary focus on teaching GBA 146 (note that this is equivalent to the typical instructor teaching load of 4 (Fall) and 4 (Spring) 3-credit hour classes)
* Curriculum input and development
* Adjunct Instructor Training
* Assisting the LEAD Professional Coaches
* Supporting student mentoring
* Supporting the activities of the LEAD Program

The appointment will become effective August 16, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be familiar with key "soft skills" competencies (e.g., NACE competencies) underlying leadership and/or professional development and have a master's degree.
