Description Join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the Department of Medicine, VA Division, by assisting with the preparation and submission of academic dossiers for faculty members. Under the guidance of the MSO, you will conduct detailed reviews and analysis of data to draft compelling letters, edit documents, and ensure successful submission of completed applications. As a vital liaison with the DOM Academic Personnel, you will provide expert guidance to faculty members and support them through the dossier process, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step. Beyond your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to special projects, further developing your skills and gaining valuable experience in academic administration. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for academic administration. Salary: $26.10 - $49.38 hourly
Qualifications

Required:



  • Experience in Department of Medicine academic personnel.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the CALL, Academic Personnel Manual and University academic personnel policies and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to track the progression of dossier reviews through various reviewing agencies.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision and set priorities in order to meet varying demands, changes in priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and faculty members. The ability to represent the Department and Division in a professional and positive manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive documents and files.
  • Knowledge of correct English sentence structure, syntax, spelling and punctuation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to be versatile and accommodate new tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access software programs.
Preferred:

  • Be proficient in preparing general and academic personnel- related correspondence
  • Experience in Department of Medicine academic personnel dossier processes and
  • Knowledge of RECRUIT system
  • Graduation from college with a major in business admin, economics, statistics, educational administration, political science, or an allied field, and two years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination education/experience
