Our Field Engineer provides direct detailed survey and layout support to project teams to efficiently, successfully, and profitably complete assigned construction projects.

DUTIES & SCOPE:



  • Field data collection, verifying horizontal and vertical controls.
  • Work daily managing and surveying, sometimes with a small survey crew. Work cohesively with our BIM Department to verify/manage data, loading data into Layout Tools.
  • Manage individual building schedules as it relates to concrete pour schedules and survey operations.
  • The bulk of the survey work will be shooting points for electrical boxes/sleeves/etc. on slab on deck applications. Some survey will be required for slab on grade and site/parking lot electrical installations.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required
  • Highly proficient with Topcon, Sokkia, Trimble or other
  • Experience with AutoCAD/ Autodesk Revit, Magnet Field Layout software.
  • As-Built verification - Back check from field to model/model to field
  • Layout - Building/Grid layout, various building systems layout, equipment/anchorage layout, foundation and bolt templates layout and verification, verification of structural systems, etc.
  • Management of in-house surveyors
  • Familiar reading/interpreting construction drawing.
  • Self-sufficient, Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with drawing/producing shop drawings in Autodesk Revit is a plus
  • FAA Part 107 license is a plus


The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD 60,000 and 130,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
