Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to define and deliver high-quality project requirements.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and Server-Sent Events (SSE) services for seamless application communication.

  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OpenID Connect (OIDC).

  • Design and document APIs using OpenAPI specifications.

  • Leverage containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to build and manage cloud-native applications.

  • Monitor application performance and infrastructure using Prometheus and implement improvements as needed.

  • Write and maintain YAML configuration files and shell scripts to automate workflows and deployments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.


Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with a focus on enterprise-grade systems.

  • Proficient in Java and JSON for data exchange.

  • Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • Extensive experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Knowledge of WebSocket and Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time communication.

  • Proficient in implementing authentication protocols such as OpenID Connect (OIDC).

  • Strong understanding of YAML for configuration management.

  • Skilled in bash scripting to automate tasks and workflows.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OpenAPI specifications for API design and documentation.

  • Experience with Prometheus for monitoring and alerting.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Exposure to agile methodologies and tools like Jira for project management.


Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
