As a Splicing Manager In Telecom for the Wireline business you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. As a Splicing Manager In Telecom for the Wireline business, you are responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction with an emphasis on coax splicing. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with fiber splicing, testing, and fiber construction.
• Extensive knowledge with CWDM, DWDM, and PON networks.
• Experience with Comcast network is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber optic counts, fiber assignments, and splicing schematics.
• Knowledge of fiber equipment i.e. fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter.
• Must have a strong understanding of design and construction of MDU and Outside Plant (UG and Aerial).
• Supervise Fiber Splicing crews, and ensure crew preparedness (trucks, trailers, equipment, tools and materials).
• Experience supervising and managing sub-contractors preferred.
• Highly organized, self-starter, and detail oriented.
• Must be available to work weekends and overnight when needed.

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry
• Develop your team's skill set and knowledge of coax splicing
• Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities
• Support the company-wide safety culture
• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated

• You have 5+ years managing Coax or Fiber Splicers
• You enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team
• You have an understanding of basic accounting principals
• You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software
