This position will be an integral member of a team that manufactures and provides purified BV Conjugated under red light filter to enable studies for novel applications in precision medicine, oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and stem cell research. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience with different types of conjugation chemistries and different chromatography methods to purify antibodies and offers the opportunity to work in small scale and large-scale product with utilizing the (Enterprise Resource Planning) ERP database to track production schedules and deadlines. This position will also perform troubleshooting of problematic products, including continuous improvement methodologies for efficiency.

In addition to performing all essential functions related to antibody conjugation, this position is responsible for training other associates, identifying improvement opportunities, conduct problem solving, and drive team projects when needed.

Essential Functions

  • Follow SOPs, batch records, and other compliance-related documentation to ensure adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Perform conjugation and purification techniques with light sensitive fluorophores using a wide range of column chromatography methods (Size Exclusion Chromatography, Ion-Echange Chromatography, and Affinity Chromatography).
  • Independently operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including chromatography systems, filtration units, and other specialized equipment.
  • Take responsibility for optimizing reaction conditions, improving yields, and troubleshooting technical issues related to conjugation.
  • Apply advance technical knowledge to enhance production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and increase overall yield while maintaining stringent quality standards.
  • Collaborate and mentor team members to promote a productive and cohesive work environment.
  • Initiate and lead improvement projects including process optimization and enhancing laboratory safety protocols, contributing to maintain 5S and ensuring continuous improvement of operational workflows.
  • Participate in daily visual management system (QDIPs) to improve overall production performance.
  • Exhibit excellent organization and multitasking skills, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry or related Science area
  • 3 years of working experience in related biotech product development or manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Previous antibody conjugation skills and experiences
  • Experienced in using UV Monitor
  • Experienced in manufacturing under ISO/GMP environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, organized and work well in groups setting
  • Able to perform basic computer operations such as MS Office and Outlook and other computer-based software
  • Capable of working under dim light environment

The base salary range for this full-time position is $29.00-33.00/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
