We're hiring a Collateral Control Specialist I to join our Loan Operations Team.



Responsibilities

  • Review Consumer Loan approval documents to identify collateral and recording requirements
  • Input all collateral related documents to Collateral Tracking modules of core banking and exception tracking systems
  • Timely recording of collateral documents to perfect lien position with appropriate state or county office to ensure credit quality of the bank's portfolio
  • Monitor the consumer loan exception report; identify, track and report missing or unperfected documents for timely follow up
  • Track mortgages out for recording and final title policies; extract recorded documents, update systems and save scanned document image to document retention system
  • Monitor and respond to recording rejections, issue resolutions
  • Monitor Vintek (vehicle title vendor) lien expirations and process accordingly
  • Monitor File Maintenance reports performing quality control review of system maintenance completed by collateral department to verify accuracy of updates
  • Monitor and process paid consumer and commercial loans ensuring timely delivery
  • Prepare necessary mortgage satisfactions & perform notary function
  • Release lien for vehicle titles
  • Release holds on deposit accounts
  • Termination of UCC filings
  • Scan all required documents and upload to document retention system
  • Answer customer and third-party calls relating to consumer loan

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of bank operations or retail banking experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills required
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Ability to discern inconsistencies and errors in consumer and mortgage documents and follow-up with the required decision makers
  • Experience with Jack Henry or equivalent banking systems, Microsoft Suite, and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to work with various forms of technology and perform general office administrative functions
  • Ability to perform all job functions remotely as required

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
