Full Time Probationary Fall 2025 HV-FAC-11525

Qualification Required:

Master's Degree in an English language teaching field such as linguistics, second language acquisition, composition theory, or adult literacy, with specialization in teaching multiple types and levels of English language courses, including composition, to adult English language learners; demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, correctly, and effectively; teaching experience with computer-enhanced instruction, and teaching experience with diverse and under-prepared students.

Preferred:
Experience teaching college-level English, including traditional and ESL composition and/or literature courses online using the Brightspace (D2L) course management system; certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Instructor reports to the Department Chair of English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language and performs the following duties:

* Provide instruction for English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language Department.
* Evaluate student performance.
* Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
* At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary for this academic year position is $52,000.00.
