Job Description:

As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all employees. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies while providing exceptional service to our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the payroll team to ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Oversee the administration of payroll-related activities, including timekeeping, wage deductions, and processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports and metrics for management review.
  • Stay updated on payroll best practices, trends, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and improve payroll processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) as a payroll manager or in a similar role, managing payroll functions for [mention size of organization, e.g., large-scale operations].
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience with payroll software (mention specific software if applicable) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and management.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
