Job Description

We are seeking a customer-oriented and organized individual to join our production team in the Label, Wire and Kit area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating wire cutting machinery and label printing equipment and label cables for electrical assemblies. This position requires attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate wire cutting machinery to cut and strip electrical wires to specified lengths and configurations
  • Manually cut and strip wire to specified lengths and configurations
  • Set up and operate label printing equipment to produce labels for electrical assemblies
  • Inspect and verify the quality of cut wires and printed labels to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Package and prepare cut wires and labels for assembly and shipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standards
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet production deadlines and achieve quality goals


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate simple machinery
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate label printing software
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the production area
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow established safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including:

    • Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Ability to identify and interpret dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications





Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with wire cutting and label printing equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electrical assemblies and wiring configurations
  • Certification in a related field, such as IPC


Work Environment:

  • The Wire Cutter Operator and Label Printer will work in a production environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to chemicals and electrical components.
  • The production area is climate-controlled, and the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • The employee will be required to stand for long periods and move around the production area to perform tasks.


Schedule:

  • The Wire Cutter Operator and Label Printer will work a standard 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • The employee may be required to work flexible hours or adjust their schedule to meet production deadlines.
