Position Summary:

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of automation, process, and tooling engineers who are responsible for developing and sustaining flashless rubber transfer molding processes. This job will be responsible for developing not only strong production processes but also a strong and capable engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Primary responsibility for developing and sustaining a robust engineering resource structure to support plant operations, process performance, tooling management, and new product introductions.
  • Responsible for communication and presentation of engineering resources status to executive management.
  • Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for all departmental improvement efforts intended to sustain and enhance profitability and performance.
  • Manage quoting actives for all aspects of engineering function.
  • Correspond with customers for technical support and alignment of process objectives and performance. Lead and coordinate new product and process development efforts.
  • Foster a creative environment that recognizes & rewards innovation and sound engineering solutions.
  • Oversee preparation of annual tooling budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and approve capital expenditures involving tooling and support equipment.
  • Ensure sufficient resources and appropriate expertise is available to provide responsive support to the manufacturing operation.
  • Champion lean practices and continuous improvement efforts.



Must Have:



  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field required
  • 8 or more years of practical engineering and manufacturing experience required
  • 3+ years of tooling experience
  • Advanced mathematics experience in support of engineering activities
  • Experience leading a team of Engineers and Technicians.
  • Strong statistical analysis to support decision process
  • Ability to understand financial analysis and its impact on company goals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a strong emphasis on customer interactions
  • Must be able to navigate and use standard Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, project, Access, and PowerPoint)


Good to have:



  • 3+ years of elastomeric molding and tool design strongly preferred
