Job Purpose

This is the entry-level coordinator position for the Export Logistics Specialist Family.

This position supports maintaining the highest levels of service and parts availability for our export customers bymaintaining on-time delivery, shipment integrity and compliance.

The Logistics Coordinator will review any damaged shipments, and determining eligibility to ship, repack, or returnto AHM. This position will review and amend commercial invoice documents to ensure shipments made by AHMExport Parts Operations (EPO) have correct and accurate information. This results in recording data in DTR styleand potentially issue a financial resolution such as a credit to the invoice.

This position will review invoices for accuracy, as well as execute Export manual invoices directly to support non-systematic export shipments from the Parts Department. The coordinator is required to work with Trade Servicesfor classification of non-parts shipment.

The Logistics Coordinator will provide Export WMS support as a WMS Super User back up to all Honda partscenters, update logistics tables, change picktickets and general WMS research to ensure proper method ofshipment is selected. This position is required to handle daily time sensitive activities, to ensure orders are corrected, shipped, and exported timely to remain in compliance.

This position includes tracking and tracing AHM shipments with contracted carriers and submitting applicableclaims to the AHM Transportation department for lost or damaged freight.

The coordinator will have a working knowledge of the customer expectations and the logistics flow whethershipping direct from AHM to the customer, or from AHM to the customer's approved freight forwarder. Thisinvolves a deep understanding of the Export Systems tables (+1k) and how they interface.

Key Accountabilities



  • AHM Export Parts Commercial Invoice review, approval, and corrections
  • Assessing lost/damaged shipments, approving returns, issuing Commercial invoice credits, and claims to transportation
  • WMS and Host system adjustments and corrections to support Export PartsOperations (All PCs/Hubs)
  • Maintain Export Compliance logs
  • Generate and approve Manual invoices



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills



  • BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent work experience in a business environment in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of experience in export customer Logistics or related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel, Access, Power Point, Word
  • Knowledge in international business beneficial
  • Planning & Organizing
  • Communication & Informing Skills
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred



Workstyle



  • Specialist may be required to support early morning and late-night conference calls to support our exportcustomers (internal and external) schedules
  • Travel - 5%
  • Overtime as necessary to support department metrics
