Summary

Responsible for leading all functions in the loan operation areas. Responsible for establishing and meeting performance standards, supervising staff, leading development and improvement of processes and services, and developing, implementing and managing cost effective delivery channels that meet and exceed members' expectations and internal service level agreements. Develop departmental goals that support Summit Credit Union's organizational strategies.

  • Member's loan needs are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Process improvements are implemented to create efficiencies.
  • Department operates within assigned budget.
  • Compliance is met in all areas of loan operations.
  • Cross collaboration with other Summit leaders.


Capability Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or applicable experience.
  • Must have or be able to attain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number.
  • Must have seven years of lending experience in high volume retail environment.
  • Must have a minimum of five years of recent supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of investor programs and requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and guidelines and manage to compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Ability to effectively coach staff through high pressure situations, and to provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, time sensitive environment, where deadlines are critical.
  • Demonstrated strong detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to keep pace with and manage through change.
  • Automated lending systems experience.
  • Experience creating reports and analyzing data.
  • Able to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.

  • Equipment Used: Variety of office equipment (telephone, printer, pc, mobile devices, etc).
