Who We Are Looking For:

Reporting to either the Vice President, Associate General Counsel Electrical or the General Counsel and Secretary of the Company, the Corporate Paralegal will serve in a central role within the Legal Department, working with Atkore's in-house counsel providing substantive Paralegal support.

What You'll Do:

Corporate:



  • Assist with resolutions, organizational documents and qualifications/authorizations for the Company, its many subsidiaries, and the Atkore Family Foundation.
  • Manage hard copy and electronic versions of minute books for Company's subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate third party service providers for subsidiary compliance (annual reports, qualifications to do business, dba's, etc.).
  • Work on and respond to requests from various corporate departments including Human Resources, Investor Relations, Finance and Tax.
  • Manage Trademark portfolio (new registration and renewals) and patent annuities.
  • Assist business unit lawyers with real estate lease management activities.


Public Company Governance:



  • Prepare Atkore's blackout trading window calendar and schedule annual Regulation Fair Disclosure training.


Legal Team Administration:



  • Assist with Legal Department's long-term projects (e.g. Record Retention Sharepoint Site, business license compliance via use of Enablon).
  • Manage e-billing (and some direct invoicing) for all legal vendors via Legal Tracker, Quarterly Litigation Updates and legal spend reporting; track KPIs and Countermeasures; handle billing inquiries.
  • Assist with litigation management including subpoena responses, legal holds, document collection, and other discovery or trial related activities.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


What You Bring:



  • At least 3 years of paralegal experience preferred
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and a willingness to learn other corporate systems.
  • Knowledge of Legal Tracker (formerly Serengeti) is preferred.

  • A capacity for a fast-paced, high-growth environment. We're looking for someone that is adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and who is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.


    Within 3 Months, You'll:



    • Complete your new hire "Immersion" so that you are ready to rock in your new role.
    • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
    • Have taken over coordination with outside counsel regarding Atkore's trademark portfolio.
    • Have assumed support for various Board of Director scheduling and meeting-related matters.


    Within 6 Months, You'll:



    • Have assumed the lead role in coordinating the Legal Department's role regarding real estate matters.
    • Have assumed responsibility to keep the Atkore Family Foundation authorized to solicit contributions within the contiguous U.S.


    Within 12 Months, You'll:



    • Be the central administrator for Atkore's cloud-based document repository system.

    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $65,280 - $89,760. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
