Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and serves nearly 9,000 students each year. In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate 's Degree and two or more years of paid work experience in an administrative office setting; proficiency with office software, preferably Microsoft Office.

Must be a skilled communicator, both orally and in written form and possess exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of organizational skill and attention to detail.

Nature and Scope of Duties:
The Academic Affairs Operations Support Assistant co-reports to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Provides excellent customer service that represents the academic affairs division.
2. Assist with coordination of special projects as assigned in all academic divisions.
3. Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills.
4. Responds in a timely fashion to oral and written communications.
5. Maintains and updates general education compliance documentation for all academic departments.
6. Maintains and updates the program review schedule for academic departments.
7. Communicates all SUNY and NYSED approved curriculum to stakeholders.
8. Enhances and maintains an organizational system for academic records.
9. Attends all Academic Support department meetings.
10. Supports new and existing academic initiatives on an as needed basis.
11. Supports academic departments including the Vice President for Academic Affairs on an as needed basis.
12. Supports academic departments with grants and all accreditation processes, procedures, and reporting as assigned.
13. Ensures course outlines from academic departments are up-to-date, posted and maintained on the V-drive or other organizational system.
14. Reviews and maintains budget documentation for the academic support areas.
15. Completes travel authorizations and other college forms for academic affairs as needed.
16. Prepares pre-work for SUNY and NYSED paperwork, including but not limited to program codes, course outlines, and curriculum charts.
17. Supports and maintains projects as needed for the efficient operation of academic affairs.
18. Maintains confidentiality as needed.
19. Coordinates office appointments.
20. Maintains inventory of office supplies and orders as needed.
21. Performs other academic duties as assigned

This is a full-time 12-month, Management Confidential position with a salary of $68,000.
