Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As the Senior Performance Analysis Lead for General Dynamics and the Missile Defense National Team, you'll lead a cross functional team of analysts to develop, benchmark, and utilize medium-level fidelity physics-based simulations to conduct analysis and develop requirements for integrated multi-phenomenology sensors, battle management command control & communications, and weapon systems for the Missile Defense Agency. Additionally, you will guide analysis and tool development planning, guide requirements product development, and represent the team to internal and external stakeholders in reviews and technical interchanges. As the Analysis Lead, it is vital to ensure technical quality of performance requirements and analysis products using team Subject Matter Experts.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong technical background in using numerical modeling and simulation (M&S) using a high-level programming language such as MATLAB, Python, or similar language environment to develop system performance requirements.
  • Experience with building and/or analyzing M&S for integrated missile defense systems including subsystems such as EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats
    & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control.
  • Ability to think critically to develop and capture concepts in technical papers, presentations, and discussions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and have experience developing specification documents
  • Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g., aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures)
  • Modeling and analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures)
  • Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems
