Position Description
Assists in the coordination and oversight of projects and assignments within the boiler area across all generating stations. With a primary focus on outage work, the position assists in inspections, provides crucial support during forced boiler tube leak outages, and ensures seamless communication and coordination among project stakeholders. Working under the guidance of staff engineers, the position enforces safety protocols, maintains quality standards, and handles various administrative tasks to uphold the efficiency and integrity of boiler equipment systems.
Essential Job Tasks:
Assists in coordinating and directing outage work within the boiler area across all generating stations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and on schedule.Coordinates resources effectively to meet project requirements, fostering clear communication and promptly resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.Enforces safety protocols and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards, fostering a culture of safety among project stakeholders.Ensures projects and assignments meet quality standards and specifications by conducting regular inspections and quality audits, addressing any deficiencies promptly.Assists in performing or directing inspections of boiler equipment systems, documenting findings for follow-up activities and maintenance planning.Provides critical support to station maintenance departments during forced boiler tube leak outages, including initiating root cause analysis and recommending remedial actions to prevent future occurrences.Manages various administrative tasks, including maintaining the Generation departments' Boiler Maintenance intranet web page and administering the Generation departments' 4-SYTE software to streamline operations and facilitate effective communication.

Mechanic A
High School Diploma/GED + 5 years experience.Proven experience in boiler maintenance or a related field, with demonstrated proficiency in coordinating projects and conducting equipment inspections.Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements governing boiler maintenance activities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in relevant software and tools for administrative tasks and maintenance management.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement.Forklift License required.Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade, and accommodate overtime and out of town/overnight travel as situations dictate.Additional technical training or certification in boiler maintenance preferred.
Compensation Information:
$32.65 - $40.80 (min. - mid.)
Mechanic B
