SUMMARY

The Production Finance Intern assists the Manager of Production Finance and the broader Production Finance department in maintaining up-to-date master spreadsheets with the most current versions of the production budgets. This role will assist with general ledger accounts used in budget analysis and work with IT to test information going into a database or new system. The role will also coordinate and obtain information (banking, accounting systems, etc.) from 3rd party productions before the start of filming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Update the production finance Master spreadsheets with the most current versions of the production budgets.
  • Review production budgets to ensure that the Productions are using the correct general Ledger accounts.
  • Test information in the database/ new system to ensure data is input and processed correctly.
  • Review Collaborate with the appropriate IT and other personnel from the payroll company to test information in the database/ new system to ensure data is input and processed correctly for the numerous productions that Production Finance is reporting on.
  • Provide support to the team during the onboarding process of new productions (banking set up, software set up, etc.) and post-production/closedown of productions.
  • Assist in tracking spend across various TV Movies/Series/unscripted programming.
  • Assist in preparing ad hoc reports and analyses when needed.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS




  • A rising junior or recent graduate from a four-year university degree in finance, accounting, or business-related.
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency with all other components of the Microsoft Office suite.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS




  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to find solutions and set up check points for verification of accuracy of work performed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Ability to shift between assignments throughout the day.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a willingness to seek out how to help other team members once their work is completed.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and desire for accuracy.



The hourly rate for this job is $17.27. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
