Primary Purpose of Position
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for technological innovation and leadership for all Parking and Transportation Services (PaTS) hardware, software, and integrations between university data sources and third party applications. The position will maintain systems including Permit Enforcement Management Systems ( PEMS) provided by EDC Corp. - AIMS, Parking And Revenue Control Systems ( PARCS) provided by Skidata, GPS and passenger counting systems provided by Pasio, radio and intercom communications and other technologies interacting with PaTS.
Summary of Position Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for secure handling of sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Direct access to, or responsibility for, cash and cash equivalents, credit card information, university property disbursements or receipts, or extensive authority for committing the financial resources of the university.
  • Direct responsibility for daily, or regular, operation of State or University owned vehicles.
  • Direct access to, or responsibility for ensuring Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) for the unit.
  • Direct access to, or responsibility for ensuring hosted environments' Service Organization Control is documented to ensure that third-party service providers store and process client data in a secure manner.


Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Four or more years experience with Parking Systems deployment and maintenance
  • Detailed knowledge of camera systems
  • Detailed understanding of Mototrbo radios systems
  • Significant experience with MS Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ability to develop SQL queries reports and understand relational databases
