Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our team in advancing translational research efforts in brain health, with a particular focus on mental health promotion, developing and delivering brain health tools to promote resilience, well-being, and quality of life for both those with and without mental illness.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Master's degree in field directly related to research - Two (2) years of experience/expertise performing research relating to a specified field of study - Or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience totaling at least eight years.
Preferred Education and Experience
* Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
* Strong background in brain health and mental health research.
* Experience with translational research and clinical applications.
* Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical methods.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Design, conduct, and analyze experiments related to brain health and mental health promotion.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate basic research findings into clinical and community applications.
* Develop and optimize experimental protocols and methodologies.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data using advanced statistical and computational tools.
* Prepare and present research findings at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
* Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and progress reports.
* Mentor junior team members.
* Stay current with the latest scientific literature and advancements in the field of brain health and mental health.
* Focus on mental health promotion by developing and delivering brain health tools to enhance resilience, well-being, and quality of life.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Office environment. Long hours at computer. Meeting and collaborating with several teams at Center for BrainHealth.

Additional Information
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
