About The Role

Position is responsible for planning, directing, and/or coordinating internal and external community relations activities for the bank to enhance the image of the bank and offer excellent service to its customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and coordinate participation in community events. Plan and coordinate all employee events, including securing facilities, ordering food/beverages, set-up/take-down, decoration, special activities, etc. Oversee and/or assist with and/or facilitate special projects and event planning and execution including set-up, and/or take-down for events as needed.

Participate in community events/activities and organizations as a representative of the bank in order to enhance image of bank and to develop contacts within the area served by the bank.

Assist in preparing strategic communication plan for bank; execute steps within a certain time frame; and help to ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the bank's strategic vision.

Position serves as a proactive, client and community-focused representative of the bank. Represent the bank to current and prospective clients and businesses and assists in expanding and retaining existing and new client relationships. Actively promotes increased customer use of bank services and the sale of bank products and strives to enhance customer satisfaction.

Maintain a good working relationship with bank employees in all departments. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and, in turn, the bank.

Communicate and actively work with other bank officers/staff concerning their customers who are perceived as having additional business needs.

Actively participate in community and/or professional activities to develop new business and to enhance the bank's image.

Compose and send letters of congratulations, condolence, thanks, and other events to enhance image of bank and/or in response to questions about the bank's services. Arrange for and deliver flowers and/or gifts to customers.

Collaborate with marketing to manage all sponsorship and donation requests to include receiving, preparing, and presenting requests to officers at weekly sales meeting. Prior to presentation at the meeting, check for relationships between organization/requester/board members and/or participants.

Secure tickets to special events/activities and disburse them to appropriate entity.

Work with the CRA Coordinator to bring volunteer efforts to FSB, partnering with non-profits and community organizations to provide opportunities for employees to engage and participate in community activities.


About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum five years of public relations experience.

A bachelor's degree in business or related degree of specialty. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Must possess current valid driver's license.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports, and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating, and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Basic computer skill with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications.

Communicate Effectively: both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Demonstrate soft phone skills by treating all internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise. Must possess a valid driver's license and must be able to drive frequently within the Missoula area, with occasional travel to other areas.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
