Commercial Lines Learning and Development Professional

The Commercial Lines Learning and Development Professional, working under general supervision, is responsible for creation and delivery of training programs and partnering with corporate departments to create study material, onboarding guides and learning resources. The role works in collaboration with leadership, management, business and individuals to deliver training with best practice in mind and intention of expanding skills across all employees at all levels within an organization. The role assesses the existing curriculum for accuracy, relevance, and availability for delivery and/or facilitation, and collaborates with stakeholders to identify training needs, acquire information, and supports the development and maintenance of technical curriculum.

* Implements learning and development strategies and supports evaluation of strategies so that they are aligned with the organization's talent management goals and objectives.
* Delivers training programs for employees at all levels of the organization, including new hire orientation, leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance training which may involve designing and delivering instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, webinars, workshops, and other training formats.
* Implements the entire learning and development process, including setting up training calendars, coordinating training logistics, tracking training attendance, and supporting evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs.
* Collaborates with business leaders, managers, and other stakeholders to identify learning and development needs, gather feedback on training programs, and ensure that learning initiatives are aligned with business goals.
* Ensures that all learning and development initiatives comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Collaborates and develops relationships with third party training providers for implementation and delivery of training needs of the employees.
* Supports evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs by conducting assessments, surveys, and other feedback mechanisms which may involve analyzing data and metrics to measure the impact of learning initiatives on employee performance, productivity, and organizational outcomes.
* Stays current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, talent management, and insurance industry-specific training requirements which may involve attending conferences, participating in professional development programs, and conducting research to ensure that training programs are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
* Provides coaching and mentoring to employees to support their learning and development needs which may involve providing guidance, feedback, and support to employees as they progress through their development plans and strive to achieve their career goals.


  • 1+ years of experience in Organizational Learning and Development or related technical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Talent Development, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
  • 5.3 knowledge is preferred.

Location

Hybrid defined as three or more days per week in the office.
