About the Job

ABOUT THE JOB

Part-time, 10-15 hours per week. This position supports the Grants and Contracts Team for the Department of Surgery. In this position, you will work closely with the team to upload and validate data across multiple sources to create reports and dashboards that monitor key metrics for the research and business enterprise. You will also work closely with the research support team to provide data needed for successful research performance, review NIH biosketches and other supports documents (training to be provided). You will prepare DEI and publication reports for the department, and monitor and forward emails and voicemails to the Grants and Contracts Team.

This position is

  • Currently primarily remote, though in-person office time may be requested as needed.
  • Support for the Grants and Contracts Team (100%)
  • Data entry for grant applications and award data
  • Data validation
  • Report creation
  • Data analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

REQUIRED:
* Enrolled in classes at the U of M
* Strong communications and organizational skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Drive/Google Apps
* Must be organized, reliable, have high work standards, strong attention to detail
* Self-starter with capacity to work independently
* Proven experience handling multiple projects and working under deadlines

PREFERRED:
* Experience with data entry

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Minimum $15.25/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience
