You'll join The Scientific and Medical Affairs Advisory Group within Syneos Health Consulting. Where you will help make Life Science organizations more effective, particularly in complex specialty markets, while giving products the strategic support they require. More specifically:

  • Builds positive working relationships with clients, consulting staff, managers, leadership, and internal support teams
  • Partner with Customer in establishing a vision for the program/portfolio initiative as well as the supporting team and their potential
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills through the proactive management of individual project responsibilities and workload to ensure objectives, milestones, and timelines are met efficiently and effectively. Must be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities to achieve goals and targets.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to project managers on overall delivery approach
  • Deliver executive reporting across the program/portfolio
  • Partner with franchise leads in establishing project management needs, priorities, and expectations across assets
  • Provide direction/guidance/support to project managers as needed
  • Provide proper status reporting to project sponsors and project leaders to ensure visibility of team delivery
  • Establish consistent performance reporting guidelines/templates to be leveraged by each franchise in the reporting of project performance/status
  • Capable of summarizing highly complex scientific ideas and data into influential storyboards for business leaders and industry stakeholders
  • Brings high level of scientific/clinical knowledge coupled with strong business acumen and project management to provide Medical Affairs insights to pharma / biotech customers.
  • Serve as primary source of project communication and reporting
  • Serve as first point of contact for issues, risks, and dependencies
    Ensure project is on-time, in-scope, within budget, and of quality design and build
  • Anticipate risks and eliminate obstacles
  • Contribute to medical strategic planning to achieve business outcomes
  • Plan, coordinate the activities around the creation of Medical and Integrated Evidence Plans (IEP) for respective assets as applicable
  • Document, socialize and facilitate review of Medical/IEPs with relevant stakeholders

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree in business or life sciences (highly preferred)
  • 3-4 years of work experience, preferably in the pharma or biotech industries
  • Must possess strong business acumen, and project management skills
  • Strong presentation, meeting facilitation, and communication (verbal and written) skills required.
  • Experience with Medical Affairs, Medical and Integrated Evidence Plans
  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, Six Sigma) is preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
