As a Secure Detention Mental Health Specialist(Clinician) you will be responsible for using evidence based treatment modalities and assessment tools to be used by the court and to develop a behavioral management plan for youth in care. The goal of the position is to implement clinical treatment plans by facilitating case management services, individual and/or family counseling sessions. Job Requirements



  • LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT Required
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience working with population served
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency
  • Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of MS Office programs



Job Responsibilities:



  • Develop an initial Individual Crisis Support Plan (ICSP) with the resident within 24 hours of admission, excluding weekends and holidays. This ICSP shall be reviewed at a minimum every thirty (30) days and updated as indicated.
  • Completes an assessment of residents within 72- hours of admission to the Non-Secure Detention (NSD) facility.
  • Develops and implements an individualized treatment plan for each resident within five (5) days, excluding weekends and holidays, of admission to the NSD facility.
  • Completes required documentation and assessments within 15 days of admission and communicates report to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works collaboratively with NSD team to support the residents.
  • Interfaces with internal and external programs/stakeholders including but not limited to county caseworkers, probation/court officers, for purpose of treatment planning.
  • Meets with each resident once a week for 1:1 counseling addressing objectives in the resident's treatment plan.
  • Responsible for co-facilitating two social and emotional skills groups a week.
  • Ensures all clinical services are delivered in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with members of the program to develop a discharge plan for each resident, identifying community resources available to the resident and their families.
  • Completes, maintains, and tracks all mandatory documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides telehealth services to residents within the NSD program.
  • Provides as needed in-service training to the staff regarding a basic understanding of primary mental health disorders seen in the program and provides resources to assist direct staff in their day-to-day responsibilities with youth.
  • Represents agency in a professional manner and attends internal and external meetings, clinical supervision, and team meetings and prepares required documentation for all meetings.


Salary:



  • Licensed under 2 years' experience: Annual $70,000
  • +2 years' experience: Annual- $72,500
  • +5 years' experience: Annual- $76,000
