Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Strategy

Summary:

Experienced BI professional responsible for advanced analytics and leading the design of complex BI solutions to support strategic initiatives. This role is integral to supporting the development and execution of data-driven strategic initiatives, providing insights that drive decision-making, operational improvements, and growth within the health system.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of advanced dashboards, reports, and analytics tools using Power BI.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and optimize existing reports and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through data.
  3. Collect, analyze, and interpret large, disparate sets of data related to patient care, financial performance, operational efficiency, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights for the strategic planning process.
  4. Partner with key stakeholders including operations, finance, clinical, and marketing to gather data requirements and provide analytical support for business initiatives.
  5. Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  6. Own the data submission process to the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) database and other databases as needed, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant submission of data.

Technical Expertise

1. Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SAP BI Web Intelligence (WebI) or similar tools.

2. Advanced proficiency in MS Office [PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word].

3. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently.

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

5. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field required.

2. Licensure: None

3. Certification: None

4. Years of relevant experience: At least 5 years in business intelligence or related fields, with demonstrated expertise in advanced analytics required.

5. Years of supervisory experience: None
