What You Will Do:

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support our in-house authored sales tools package. This suite of program allows field sales engineers to use customer specification to select and model the performance of a Chiller. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer with a proven history of 2-3 years in web application development. You will be collaborating with a team of developers, QAs, and business owners to gain good understanding of requirement and user story, use it to design, develop and implement software solution in accordance with project specification, meeting the established objectives of quality and time constraints.

How You Will Do It:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain robust and scalable web applications using ASP.Net, C#, .Net Core, SQL, Azure, and Angular, HTML5 and CSS 3.

  • Under the guidance of team lead to perform investigation, analyze the impact and feasibility of change request on existing software and implements corrective actions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with engineers, System Analysts, software developers and Quality Assurance to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.

  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.

  • Provides technical support to field, QA and other team members in as need basis.

  • Effective communication skill and flexible working schedule for global team needs.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for software design, coding, and testing activities.

  • Stay current with advancement of software development skill and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas for improving our products.

  • Apply Agile development methodology into day-to-day work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 2+ years software development experience.

  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.Net, Angular or other web development technology.

  • Understanding databinding between API and JavaScript framework, particularly JSON and AngularJS.

  • Strong understanding of web development best practices and design patterns.

  • Experience with database design and optimization.

  • Knowledge of TFS or other source code repositories and automated build process.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud technologies is a plus.
