About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Conversion/Data Specialist to join us.

DMI is seeking Data Conversion Specialists to facilitate the migration of data from PeopleSoft to the Oracle FDIP (Fusion Data Intelligence Platform) system, ensuring data
integrity and optimal performance. As a Data Conversion Specialist, they will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from PeopleSoft into FDIP. They will also need to possess front end development skills to develop reports and dashboards as required. They will ensure that data is accurately migrated and optimized for reporting and analytics, collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals.

    Analyze the existing data structures in PeopleSoft and confirm the necessary transformations for Data Warehouse compatibility.\
  • Extract data from PeopleSoft using SQL and other relevant tools.
  • Creation of efficient data structures that support reporting and analytics (expertise in dimensional modeling and entity-relationship (ER) modeling)
  • Develop and implement data transformation processes to clean, standardize, and enhance the quality of the data during migration.
  • Create data mapping documents that outline the relationships between source and target data fields.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to load data into the Data Warehouse, ensuring efficient performance and data integrity.
  • Utilize ETL tools for data integration.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness post-migration to ensure that all data has been successfully transferred.
  • Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand
    data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and data security protocols, including
    encryption, data masking, and compliance with regulations (e.g., PII, HIPAA)
  • Recommending and analyzing the possibility of Cloud Data Warehousing


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field plus 8 years experience

Additional Requirements:

  • 5+ experience in data migration projects, specifically from PeopleSoft to a Cloud BasedData Warehouse system.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation

  • + Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
    Experience with databases such as ORACLE, SQL Server, SYBASE, INFORMIX, and DB2
    * Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and reporting tools.
    * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Oracle FDIP, Snowflake,
Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
* Relevant certifications in data management or ETL tools are a plus.

Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Work Visa Holder

Physical Requirements: No Physical requirement needed for this position.

Location: Washington, DC

  • Can be remote within the US with occasional onsite in DMV.
