Weekend Commerce Writer

A360 Media is looking for a Full-Time Weekend Commerce Writer to join a360's growing commerce business.

This role will create affiliate shopping content, including deal articles, sales roundups, and celebrity + shopping guides on Us Weekly primary, and other a360 Media publications (Life&Style, InTouchWeekly, Woman's World) as assigned. The role will report to a360 Media's Senior Commerce Editor.

This role would have an optimal schedule Wednesday through Sunday with off days being Monday/Tuesday

The ideal candidate will be interested in and eager to best serve readers through shopping articles that are informative, easy to understand, and conversion-driven. This individual should be able to navigate retailer websites to find the best products for readers. Ideal candidates will have an eye for fashion, expertise in beauty or wellness, and a love for finding the perfect gift.

Experience at a news publisher and creating affiliate content are both necessary. Experience with SEO tools, affiliate linking tools and platforms, knowledge of SEO best practices, and understanding of the ins and outs of covering celebrity affiliate content are all preferred.

Responsibilities

? Write an average of 5 daily articles including sales, deals, celebrity shopping articles, and gift guides.

? Learn and utilize affiliate link-making tools - both in the backend of the publication and through browser extensions to create affiliate links with proper affiliate tracking

? Monitor competitors, and industry trends and be able to provide editors with content suggestions based on products and celebrities

? Complete other editorial assignments, such as updates, sourcing, pitching, and research from editor as assigned.

? Possible participation in sales event coverage may be required, including working shifts over some holiday weekends such as Memorial Day, Labor Day, Amazon Prime Day, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

? Possible in-studio and on-camera product reviews may be an option for this role.

Required Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree

? 2+ years of editorial experience, commerce experience a plus

? Firm grasp of AP Style: spelling, grammar, and punctuation

? Must have knowledge of affiliate marketing platforms including Skimlinks and Amazon. Knowledge of other networks is preferred.

? Attention to detail and ability to operate quickly

? Digitally savvy with experience creating content in a CMS, using stock photo sites, editing/creating photos using Photoshop

? Awareness and knowledge of basic SEO best practices

Preferred Qualifications

? Familiarity with individual affiliate networks (Linkshare, Rakuten, CJ, AWIN, Impact, ShareASale, Acend, Partnerize) is a plus

? A keen eye for trends, both in terms of lifestyle/fashion and pop culture

? Familiarity with top entertainment and lifestyle sites and blogs, and with current celebrity news

? Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Search Console, SEMRush and Ahrefs is a plus

? Experience at various companies (publishers preferred) in an affiliate role

? Work experience for a major news brand is a plus

Pay Range: $60,000- $65,000
