The Data Entry Clerk, Scheduling & Operations is an entry level, full-time role responsible for accurately entering and maintaining data, running reports, and ensuring high-quality data & reporting for internal teams. This position reports to the Director, Scheduling & Operations and is located onsite at the Mansfield Power & Gas (MPG) location in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Download & save assigned reports on daily & month schedules.
  • Proactively maintain & provide series of reports for Operations team.
  • Verify and cross-check information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Organize and maintain digital files and records.
  • Using supplied reports, update designated rate sheets accurately & on-time.
  • Using supplied data & reports, update utility & pipeline conditions tracker.
  • As directed by the Scheduling Manager & Technical Lead, work with the Scheduling team to identify manual data entry tasks and then incorporate them into daily workflow.
  • Maintain building access cards for office personnel including auditing lists of inactive cards and creation/deletion of cards as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Minimum completion of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • One+ years' experience in a similar role within a comparable sized Company.
  • Previous experience in data entry or a similar clerical role preferred.
  • Preference given to applicants with experience within the Natural Gas Industry.
  • Strong typing skills (60+ words per minute) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines and interact effectively in a team environment.
  • Time and task management skills essential.

Work Environment:

  • After completion of the introductory period of employment, this position is eligible for the Company's 3x2 hybrid work schedule which consists of a 40-hour work week with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, business conditions permitting.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to view computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.
  • Close visual acuity needed to review spreadsheets and for discerning fine print.
