Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic - Pediatric Ophthalmologist

Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic in Fairfax, VA is looking to add a Pediatric Ophthalmologist to their rapidly expanding team. This is a clinical position based at our Fairfax campus, home to both Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital and our new Pediatric Multispecialty Ambulatory Practice at Willow Oaks. The children's hospital is a 226-bed facility level 1 pediatric trauma center featuring a brand new 45-bed pediatric ER (opened December 2024), a 108-bed level 4 NICU, and a 48-bed PCICU/PICU. The clinic space at Willow Oaks was recently built and opened in 2023, and is home to over 20 pediatric specialties, with more specialties always being added.

Inova Fairfax Medical Center and Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital are teaching sites for the University of Virginia School of Medicine, along with multiple advance practice provider and nursing programs in the area. In addition our hospital is home to its own pediatric residency program, along with several fellowships including hospitalist and emergency medicine.

Pediatric Ophthalmologist Position Details:

• Home to programs providing comprehensive care for children with complex eye problems, congenital disorders, and rare eye conditions, such as strabismus, childhood cataract and glaucoma.
• Patients seen in Fairfax, Virginia (proximity to Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital & Inova Fairfax Hospital), and via telemedicine.

Additional Requirements:

• Education: Must have completed or be in the process of completing an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology
• Board Certification: Board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Ophthalmology
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Credentialing: Ability to obtain successful medical staff credentials at Inova's Children's Hospital
