The Stewardship Specialist for the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine (
CVM), plays a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships with donors through impactful communication, thoughtful events, and dynamic engagement strategies. Your work will help ensure donors feel valued and connected to the transformative work happening at
CVM every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and Manage Donor Communications: Oversee stewardship reporting, including writing, editing, and managing acknowledgment letters, cards, and holiday communications via platforms like MailChimp and Salesforce CRM. Support Strategic Stewardship Plans: Execute the college's annual stewardship plan, including initiatives like the Terrence Curtin Society (TCS), Day of Giving, Equine Veterinary Medical Center campaigns, and fund impact reports. Coordinate Donor Events: Organize and assist with donor stewardship events, such as Pack Appreciation Day, Scholarship Dinner, and other key celebrations, including on-site logistics and planning. Facilitate Gift Agreements and Reporting: Partner with gift officers to draft and implement gift agreements and ensure accurate and timely stewardship reporting. Collaborate for Success: Work closely with faculty, campus stakeholders, and the central stewardship team to gather data and produce compelling stewardship and impact reports.

In addition to the core responsibilities of this role, there may be occasional opportunities to take on additional duties, such as:
Support Special Projects: Partner with the College and University Advancement and Development team to contribute to impactful initiatives as needed, showcasing adaptability and a collaborative spirit. Plan and Track Initiatives: Leverage project management and data analysis skills to monitor and execute stewardship and engagement plans effectively, ensuring seamless implementation. Ensure Quality Communications: Work closely with the CVM Communications team to deliver timely, thoughtful, and high-quality acknowledgments and documentation that express gratitude to donors. Engage with Donor Relations Networks: Represent the CVM in campus-wide donor relations hub meetings, staying informed on emerging trends and best practices in donor relations and stewardship.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Other Required Qualifications |
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft platforms, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems and database management, with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities, paired with outstanding verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven project management experience, demonstrating the ability to organize and execute complex initiatives.
- A donor-focused mindset, with sensitivity and responsiveness to their unique needs.
