Position Summary


Ability to work with Clergy and person of varied religious/cultural backgrounds and

show sensitivity to their particular needs and concerns. Fluency in Spanish desired.

Education:

  • Ordination and/or ecclesiastical endorsement. Undergraduate degree and graduate education in theology.
  • Two units of CPE or willingness to obtain.
  • Membership in American College of Chaplains or similar professional organization or willingness to pursue, desired, but not required.



Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years Pastoral Ministry experience.



Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Very limited exposure to blood/body fluids.


  • Visual/hearing acuity with or without corrective devices. Routine inside environmental conditions (See physical requirement sheet).



Annual Requirements:

  • Participate in annual OSHA training.
  • Attend one continuing education seminar per year.
  • Comply with employee health requirements.
  • Comply with hospital mandatory in-service training.
