The Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager) will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and systems meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role serves as liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers. This role involves developing and maintaining quality management systems, leading teams to achieve performance goals, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Manager provides leadership by integrating ENF's business processes with methodologies such as Theory of Constraints, Juran, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing to drive operational excellence across the facility. This position reports directly to the Director of Purchasing and Quality Services.

This position will be responsible and accountable for the following functions, including, but not limited to:



  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, NQA 1, NN801, AS9100, and ISO 17025.
  • Ensure quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and specifications, is maintained and up to date.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the Quality Assurance Team to uphold high-quality standards.


  • Ensure proper training, resource allocation, and performance management for team members.
  • Foster a culture of quality and operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Spearhead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and other methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.


  • Identify organizational improvement opportunities and develop strategies to maximize potential.
  • Coordinate the application of continuous improvement methods to achieve cost reduction, improve productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize non-conformance.
  • Train and coach process owners on Lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques.


  • Deploy TOC principles across the organization and supply chain to align with ENF's operating goals and objectives including profitability, lead-time reduction, and inventory improvements.
  • Oversee investigations of quality issues and non-conformances, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform supplier quality audits and work with vendors to ensure product compliance with specifications.


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, industry, and customer standards.
  • Review RFPs for government and military contracts, ensuring adherence to specifications and qualifying vendors for First Article Inspections.


  • Manage Quality Council, Management Review, and the Quality Improvement Team (QIT) programs.


  • Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring prompt resolutions and preventive measures are initiated.


  • Monitor organizational performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement goals are achieved.
  • Prepare detailed reports highlighting key quality metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop profitability improvement initiatives through projects focused on Throughput and cost reduction.


  • Abide by and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and work rules.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, collaboration skills and provide support to the shop floor in quality initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required to support business needs and meet attendance and reliability requirements.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • 4-year technical degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or related field
  • 10 years' experience in metals industry testing, quality control, quality assurance, or quality management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively up and down the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership and success in implementing process and/or product quality improvement strategies
  • Experience with the requirements of ISO 9100D and/or ISO 9001:2015
  • Familiarity with Government/Military Specifications and Contracts
  • Strong computer, data, statistical and analytical skills
