Coterra is hiring a Financial Planning Analyst for our Houston Office

JOB SUMMARY

As a Financial Planning Analyst at Coterra, you will be responsible for performing various technical and administrative tasks to support corporate FP&A. This may include loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data. To be successful in this role, you will be skilled in specialized software such as Spotfire and Aries, proficient in data interpretation, be extremely detail oriented, and work well in a team. This position is located onsite at our Houston, Texas headquarters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Gather, consolidate, and validate information from internal, private and public data sources.
  • Maintain databases and data sources to feed analyses in Spotfire, Excel, Aries, Corporate Financial Models, etc.
  • Proficiency in Aries
  • Create and maintain processes related to well economics, corporate financial parameters, configure and run economic cases, etc.
  • Work with Business Units to incorporate analyses into financial models, create and maintain various models, work with finance professionals to support meaningful analysis. Other tasks, as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas software (Aries, SQL, Oracle, Spotfire, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience in working with large data sets and database QC and maintenance.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software and processes as necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various levels of company personnel
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player and possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast-paced working environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree, or combination of industry experience and education.


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum of 3 years experience associated with upstream Oil & Gas Operations

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


  • Percent of Travel Required: Less than 5%; Travel may be required for mandatory meetings or training.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work that includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that the incumbent visits the operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced.
