Program Manager, Continuous Improvement

Your day may include:

  • Developing and designing strategies to build a culture of continuous improvement across the organization
  • Identifying and leading continuous improvement efforts
  • Training employees on Lean principles and practices
  • Working closely with front and back-office teams to ensure successful implementation of improvements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement lean strategies tailored to their specific needs and goals
  • Analyzing data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make data-driven recommendations
  • Developing a strategy to create and maintain a library of current state process maps for key business areas
  • Developing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project outcomes
  • Building strong relationships that foster trust and collaboration throughout the consulting process
  • Staying current with industry trends and best practices in lean methodologies and continuous improvement

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Technology or related field. Experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
    • Green Belt certification with an additional three (3) years (for a total of six) leading continuous improvement programs may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Five (5) years' experience in lean manufacturing or process improvement work
  • Three (3) years leading continuous improvement programs
  • Three (3) years of experience working with project management methodologies, tools and leading projects*
  • Three (3) years' experience using lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma*
    *may be concurrent with other experience
  • Proven track record of implementing successful process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Advanced level Excel skills
    • Ability to organize large data sets and record macros to automate tasks
  • Experience using Visio, Smart Draw or similar mapping tools
  • Ability to train and mentor staff on lean methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Master Black Belt Certification
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • Experience developing reports in Tableau or SSRS for data analysis to extract information, collect data and present findings
  • Financial institution experience
  • Project management certification
  • Change management certification

Competitive base pay: $96,650.70 - $144,976.04 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

  • The target starting pay for this position is $96,650.70 - $120,813.37 annually, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
  • The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.

Where we're located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week

When you'd work: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this exempt position.
