About the Job
Summary of the position: The CIH Education Coordinator plays a key role in fulfilling the Center for Interprofessional Health's (CIH) strategic initiatives with a focus on planning and implementing interprofessional learning opportunities for learners across the health sciences schools and programs on the Twin Cities, Rochester, Duluth, and St. Cloud campuses. This person will manage various day-to-day administrative and operational components of CIH educational programming, including the 1Health interprofessional education (IPE) curriculum and related interprofessional co-curricular offerings. The CIH Education Coordinator collaborates closely with the Center for Interprofessional Health leadership, staff, and faculty team.
The ideal candidate for this position should have strong problem-solving skills and excellent coordination, communication, and time management skills. They should also be well-organized, attentive to detail, confident in managing multiple competing priorities, and able to work well independently and in a team.
Work Arrangements: This is a full-time Monday-Friday position in a flexible hybrid work environment with the expectation to work onsite on the East Bank campus approximately 1-2 days per week. The typical working hours for this position are between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; however, curriculum and programmatic needs require working outside of typical working hours at specified times throughout the academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities: (90%) Provide coordination and administrative support for CIH educational programming
- Coordinate operational components of the 1Health interprofessional educational curriculum
Develop, maintain, and oversee administrative and operational workflow for each assigned IPE learning experience Organize and facilitate planning processes while ensuring the successful implementation of assigned IPE learning experiences, programs, and projects Schedule and coordinate logistics for IPE learning experiences in partnership with program leaders Coordinate program-specific scheduling needs and ensure students are appropriately assigned to sessions Support cross-institutional partnerships by managing logistics, account information, registration, and communications with students and faculty Develop and implement communications and marketing plans to engage internal and external organizations, along with students, faculty, and guest health professional participants Collaborate with CIH faculty lead(s) to provide facilitator training opportunities Prepare session-specific materials to support faculty facilitation of IPE learning experiences Collect, verify, and accurately maintain student enrollment lists from all participating programs for each distinct IPE learning experience Coordinate all Zoom technology arrangements for virtual sessions Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day logistical issues promptly, in collaboration with the supervisor as needed Review and analyze evaluation and self-assessment data and make recommendations for each assigned IPE learning experience - Utilize the 1Health Database for 1Health curriculum delivery, tracking, and data collection with responsibilities that include:
Prepare and maintain the student interface for each experience including pre-work assignment details and resources, session assignments, session-specific instructions, and evaluation and self-assessment forms Manage and maintain accurate student enrollment and facilitator records for each experience Monitor and track assignments, evaluations, self-assessments, and overall completion status for all students enrolled in each experience Prepare customized course evaluation and self-assessment reports for all participating schools/colleges - Actively manage multiple departmental email accounts proficiently to ensure prompt, clear, and accurate communication
Monitor accounts continuously (daily) and respond to inquiries, address issues, and ensure communication loops are closed Maintain organized email files for reference purposes Accurately communicate with students, faculty, staff, and guest speakers from each distinct IPE learning experience departmental email account
(10%) Maintain processes related to other co-curricular CIH interprofessional programs:
- Maintain CIH-approved interprofessional course inventory including gathering student participation lists and conducting an annual audit
- Coordinate the CIH review process for new interprofessional courses and activities
- Coordinate co-curricular CIH programs, including tracking and maintaining accurate records, preparing and reviewing student application materials, planning informational sessions, collaborating with faculty advisors, planning networking events for student participants, and other duties as assigned
- Manage CIH social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram)
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of CIH special events, reports, and presentations
- Act as a representative of the CIH to invite volunteers and participants to engage with the CIH
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience to total four years.
- 1-2 years of successful project/program coordination experience.
- The ideal candidate for this position should have strong problem-solving skills and excellent program coordination, communication, and time management skills.

- Proven and effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to routinely and confidently manage multiple competing priorities
- Proficient with G Suite (Gmail, calendar, docs, sheets, form, slides, etc.) and Zoom.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven and effective written, verbal, and communication skills

Pay and Benefits
