Job Overview:

Unleash your engineering prowess in the role of Manufacturing
Engineer. Nestled in within our bustling Alsip, IL facility the role awaits a driven individual ready to leverage their 5+ years of expertise in manufacturing
methods and processes . If you have the hands-on skill in design with a focus on fixturing, and you're a pro at using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor, we want you. Mastery of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), coupled with fluency in lean manufacturing
concepts are key elements you bring to the table. You will evaluate manufacturability, review and implement procedures, processes, as well as equipment involved in the manufacturing
process. Moreover, your responsibilities encompass exploring cutting-edge automation techniques, assessing the efficacy of new systems, and strategizing factory layouts for maximum production efficiency. Your focus lies on lean enhancements to meet production demands seamlessly, all the while upholding stringent standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.

  • Analyze production processes and data to create comprehensive reports, enabling management to better anticipate future manufacturing
    needs.


  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing
    efficiency, participating in design reviews; leading problem-solving teams to address manufacturing
    problems.


  • Ensures product and process quality by designing testing methods, coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep equipment operational as well as leading the tryout and evaluation of new machinery, tooling, and equipment.

  • Development of process documentation, including SOP's, process routings, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and error proofing plans.

  • Develop cost estimates for new and major programs, often based on early concept cross sections, drawings, concurrent engineering discussions, and evolving assumptions.

  • Develop and standardize processes and parameters; implement new ideas to improve safety, quality, cost and productivity, including PSO and launch.

  • Initiate cost-savings ideas and projects through efficient engineering practices as well as plan and implement manufacturing
    cost-reduction opportunities.





Requirements:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline or combination of education and experience, with 5+ years in a manufacturing
    engineer discipline.


  • Design experience with focus on fixturing utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor

  • Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with track record of dependability

  • Fluent in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Fluent in lean manufacturing
    concepts.


  • Experience with lean principles such as lean line design and Kanban pull systems.

  • Experience in manufacturing
    environment with machining, and assembly.




Core Competencies:


  • Proven design experience utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management knowledge and lean manufacturing
    experience.


  • Experience with Machining (turning, milling, grinding) with knowledge in machine tool specifications, construction, and maintenance.

  • Skilled in statistically qualifying machinery, equipment, and gauges



Travel & Work Arrangements:


  • Fully site based

  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident

  • Minimal travel up to 5%



The pay range for this role is $85,000-105,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
