Engineering and Facilities Manager

What this job involves -

The role of the Engineering and Facilities Manager is to ensure the proper operation of all hard services at the Facility. They must establish, operate, and maintain a comprehensive program which allows an organization to manage and oversee the Maintenance of the Building, Building Systems and Equipment.

Your day to day:

This leadership role is focused on hard services with engineering services at the forefront. The primary job responsibilities are as follows:
Life Cycle Asset Maintenance - ensure all critical equipment vendor PM's are completed as per schedule
Ensure compliance by completing all related training, Action Items/Audit Responses, and ensuring that all critical PMs are completed on time
Ensure all safety, environmental, and standards are strictly adhered to within managed facilities
Ensure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities
Improve safety performance by changing level of awareness and changing behaviors
Develop, track and implement energy conservation initiatives and document savings
Measure and manage client feedback, written and verbal throughout the year
Conduct formal and informal relationship meetings with contacts
Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), HVAC or Mechanical degree (preferred),Facilities Management, or related field experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or engineering
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiatives
Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
