Job Description Summary: The Director of Cost Productivity will be accountable for delivering year-over-year cost of goods savings, and improving gross margin, without compromising product quality or compliance. They will be responsible for developing the overall productivity strategy, setting targets, building robust project opportunity funnels, driving execution of these funnels, delivering savings in support of the current year operating plan, while building pipeline for the future years. As a senior leader, they will work closely with functional leaders ensuring shared accountability and ownership. They will interact directly with the executive leadership team to communicate progress, address barriers and set direction. This individual will have ownership for one of Accuray's strategic priorities. Therefore, this is a highly visible role. This is a new role in the business. The leader will take on the challenge of executing and delivering in the short term while building the organizational muscle to sustain this effort for the long term. The chosen candidate will need to poses a combination of skills including Strategic Thinking, Business Acumen, Execution Skills, Communication and Influencing change, driving continuous improvement, and making high quality and timely decisions.
