The Position
2025 Summer Intern - US Policy & Evidence (External Affairs) Department Summary Public Affairs & Access is a multi-disciplinary organization that includes Channel & Contract Management; Corporate Communications; Policy, Evidence & Access Strategy; and External Affairs. Our mission is to drive positive change in the healthcare system so that every patient can access our science. We lead the development of meaningful partnerships, forward-looking pricing, contracting and distribution strategies, and proactive policy solutions that advance a more equitable and hopeful future for all of those who need our therapies. Within the External Affairs department, US Policy and Evidence (USPE) is seeking a summer intern to provide support on key projects related to federal and state health policy priorities. The intern will also be encouraged to gain cross-functional experience across Public Affairs & Access to better understand how we leverage our communications, market access, government affairs, and externally-facing capabilities to drive impact for our patients, our people, and our communities where we live and work. Interns will have peer-to-peer support, networking opportunities, and career development opportunities with other interns in Public Affairs & Access as well as throughout Genentech. This internship position is located in Washington, DC - On site The Opportunity US Policy and Evidence is looking for an intern to support the team's work in the analysis and development of policy solutions to improve affordability and equitable access for patients, support a more sustainable market-based system, and advance business objectives. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofWashington, DC is $20-$43 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
