Summary: The Program/Site Coordinator is responsible for the Tribal Brownfields Program in accordance with the EPA Approved Work Plan. This will entail coordinating a community outreach effort, developing a survey and inventory of potential Brownfields sites including phase I and phase II assessments, then developing and implementing a reuse and revitalization plan. The coordinator will develop a reuse and revitalization plan and pursue EPA Brownfields funding to execute further assessments, clean-up operations and implementing the reuse and revitalization plan. The scope of this planning effort will include coordination with Ahtna villages, communities and Tribal Organizations of the Ahtna Region. This position is in Glennallen, AK and serves in the Ahtna Region. This position combines environmental monitoring and planning with outreach, education, capacity building and collaboration to promote conservations, and reclamation of contaminated lands. This position will work with various Native Organizations, non-governmental organizations, advisory groups, and state and federal agencies on a variety of projects to achieve the stated Brownfield Program goals. The pay range for this position is $30.50/hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

Working Environment: Generally, indoor office environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to spend upwards of 1-3 hours traveling in small aircraft, boats or on snow machine. While outdoors may be subject to site conditions, changes in temperature, weather conditions and noise levels. Physical Demands (including but not limited to): Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper, reaching with hands and arms for items above and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the office with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 2 hours; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds such as small office equipment, files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Work is generally performed in an office setting with the ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Associates of Business Administration (preferred)
Experience
3 years: *Associate degree in business administration, communications, environmental engineering, engineering technician, chemical engineering, or equivalent.
*Three years of experience in project planning, project management and project oversight, management experience, and or public administration. *Ability to manage multiple projects. *A valid State of Alaska diver license, or ability to obtain one is required. (required) Licenses & Certifications
